We can create a very wide range of brown or yellow black tones
when we make your digital copy print so we can exactly match the
color scheme you are looking for.
True sepia toning on photographic prints is
more specific in it's color depending on the paper and chemicals
used. True sepia toning is still available on a special order
basis. Each black and white photo is taken through a chemical
process that changes the black and white tones to brown and white.
A true sepia toned photographic print has had the silver content
removed, is very stable and does not look faded.
The warm brown tones are very pleasing and reproduce a sense
of age.The sepia also can help soften harsh b&w images that
have too many strong black areas in them.
The range of these brown tones can also widen your choices when
you frame the final print as it works particularly well with gold
or colored frames and mats that will blend with your home decor
whereas black and white prints lend themselves to metal, grey
or wood toned frames.
