Identity The Heritage Photographs site is owned and operated by Dawn Massey. Any questions or concerns may be sent by e-mail or written to the address on the Contact page. Or call (206) 343-2363. Protecting Privacy Heritage Photographs recognizes that the user has privacy concerns. No e-mail addresses or personal information submitted will be shared with any other organizations for commercial purposes. This information may be used by Heritage Photographs to notify users of services or products that may be of interest. Children’s Privacy This site is not intended for children under 18. Children under 18 should not submit information through this site. Linked Sites Heritage Photographs is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked sites. TERMS OF AGREEMENT

The laws of Washington State where Heritage Photographs operates shall govern these terms and conditions. When you use this site, send a photo or place an order you are agreeing to these terms.

Refunds and Returns Policy
Heritage Photographs will work very diligently with you to ensure you are completely satisfied with the service. If you wish, where appropriate, you may ask to review a digital proof of the image created. If necessary at that time we will redo the work or make corrections for a second review. Once the proof is accepted there will be no refund. In the event that you are unable to accept the proof, you will be liable only for half the cost of the restoration or service and not for any prints ordered or work not yet started. Your photo will be returned to you with no shipping charges.
Returned checks: There will be a $ 30 fee added for returned checks.

The safeguarding of property and materials while in our care is a foremost objective of Heritage Photographs. Except as specifically provided in this paragraph, Heritage Photographs assumes no responsibility to Customer for any loss of, or damage to, customer’s negatives, positives, artwork, or other customer supplied materials. In the event of such loss or damage, Heritage's liability to Customer is expressly agreed to be limited to the lesser of (1) the cost of replacing the negatives, positives, artwork or other material, or (2) three times the cost of replacing the negatives, positives, artwork, or other material in its unexposed or unrecorded state. Customer agrees that under no circumstances shall Heritage Photographs be liable for any consequential damages arising out of or relating to any such loss or damage. Customer also acknowledges that performance of the service under the terms of this agreement establishes a course of dealing between parties for purpose of any future agreements for service.

Heritage Photographs reserves the right to modify this site and the terms and conditions at any time. Your continued use of the site or service will constitute your acceptance of the changes. Every effort is made to ensure the information on this site is true and accurate but errors and inaccuracies may occur. Corrections and modifications may be made at any time without notice.

Submitting your photo: Copyright laws are complex. If the photo has a copyright notice on the front or back, try to establish contact with the studio or photographer and ask permission. It is not at all likely that they will refuse.

Chances are that if your photo is from the 1950's or before, the copyright has expired. If it were created prior to 1900's the copyright would have expired. With more recent photos the law varies. We cannot make copies where we would be infringing on the copyright, so you must make a good faith attempt to contact the copyright owner which would normally be the studio or photographer.

By submitting a photo the sender states that they have copyright ownership or the necessary permissions. Heritage Photographs cannot be held liable for persons infringing on these laws. Note that once we have created a new image, Heritage Photogaphs is the copyright owner of that image and it may not be used for any commercial purpose without consent. We may use your photo for promotional purposes but will honor your request not to use it if you object to its use. No item or image or on this site may be reproduced for any purpose by anyone.
